this is a review of my year.. as always..
I hope there are more to blog after ORD..
cos when all the things you have to talk about is military stuff..
there nothing else to talk about already.. haha..
had a small turning point..
and maybe afew more coming..
January to March
set off to Tamworth Australia..
had my ups and downs.
one moment I was the “best” in the course..
the other moment I was told I failed my test..
no WSO for me too..
came back Singapore had really a hard time to accept that I never can be a military pilot anymore..
asked to do some guard duties…
made some friends in AFTC..
and lost the peak of my fitness there..
and ended my regular term with a diving trip
April
it came along..
as a bird shit I arrival back to NDU..
don’t really know how things work after graduation..
I had awhile before I fitted back in..
after all the people there are still my blood sweat pain brothers..
and I crashed into the Taiwan trip
May
so we went Taiwan..
I had the luxury to sleep the most.. and do the least..
sick sick sick and just being sick..
all I know was the medic was useless..
the MO is not interested..
and senior medic was really up there with his skills
seeing people coming in and out daily.. different of my batch boys..
but im always there..
hahahha
June
shooting training started..
and more diving..
July
represented NDU in Navy shooting competition..
didn’t do well at all..
but still managed to help NDU secure the overall champion for the second year..
did my first parade..
the SAF day parade..
I remembered someone saying..
”LQ.. you are the only one who actually looking up leh”
that was enough to show my contributions to the organisation I think ha
August
NDP was the biggest thing…
city march was fun.. I think only with the Navy people.. marching and screaming with not much regimentation
hahahahhaa..
September
my 21st..
didn’t really got time to plan one..
cos all I got was.. “we not sure when we going to brunei leh”
so although I got some celebrations with my sec sch buddies..
I think its all destroyed by the JOT..
and all those terrible and happy moments over in Brunei will pour in whenever I see the scar on my finger
October
I did a miracle by scoring my personal best since 2008..
its was a two time jump..
that score will really make me a threat..
but sadly.. it wasn’t consistent enough
and my brother went for his SSEAYP..
so whenever I can… I tried to stay home and keep my mum accompanied
November
all was unexpected..
but im single from then on..
was kind of lost and confuse for awhile..
and I tot I will try to experience some single life for long.. until..
we did finish our finaly evolution and we called out ORD LO just anytime we felt like..
December
alicia 21st was really something to remember..
having all of them seated infront of me and her..
asking us about our relationship..
wao.. that was really some experience man..
hahahahahhahahaa..
saying out make me feel more extreme and that we really cleared things out..
which is very good.. for the two of us..
and I never felt better for the 2 months
I went NUS to play some netball..
and wow.. fate really wants to play with me..
just as I thought I can be with myself..
ha! I will hope for the best ba..
clearing leave is the best time ever with no worries of military stuff..
totally mind cleared to do whatever you want out there..
the freedom..
the control of life..
its so damn powerful
New Year is coming..
I don’t really know what to expect
but I know the day when I ORD.. if I don’t cry out loud..
I’ll be doing it inside.. hahaha..
going to start learning Tai Ji Quan real soon..
and its damn cheap… $45 for 3 months.. woohooo..
such a deal.. who will want to learn muay thai? hahahah jk.
about RS.. it will be great if I can make the girl I like say pick me, choose me, love me….
WAO.. blow my mind away yo!..
hahaha love stories are just nice aint it?
seriously after being in a rs for so long..
its really quite hard to go through some shit in life alone..
it really sucks..
but well.. as I told jl.. its my time to go through la..

Looking back
January
the year begin with the anticipation of going into the National Service and the GCE ‘A’ Level results..
Compass test, Interview and then Medical.. i confirmed to the panel that i would like to serve my terms in the Naval Diving Unit before i sign up for RSAF Pilot.. that was somewhat a start of the pursuit of my Dream
i found myself a job in Camp High Achievers as an instructor.. did only once a 2D1N camp and thats it… it was tough until i enter NDU
Audrey was hospitalised and Dear cut a new short short hair..
February
5A got a SINful gathering in chalet..
went back SRJC for the CCA fair.. and see how the shooting team has changed..
maybe im bias.. but i think 07/08 is the best batch ever C:
had a really good time squaring up my study area before i got enlist..
time wasnt enough.. there were many thing i wish i could do.. but enlistment just kicks in the following month
March
had my first driving test… failed.. sad..
signed up for Suburban run and ran it..
then there was the enlistment..
it was different enlisting into a elite unit..
my Father wasnt around to see my enlistment.
and that morning 18march.. i hugged my Father for the last time
it was a major hit for me.. seriously.. having confine in camp and told that he is dying
i recall how Instructor wake us up and calling my name.. and no one knows who is that..
then the taxi driver.. speed all the way through.. its like telling me that he hope to let me see my father for the last time..
he went off.. not having the chance to see my naked head.. and its my mother’s birthday..
leave was given to me.. to settle the funeral and then things moved on..
April
come april times of emotions really got me..
diver training was tough enough.. and there was supports all round.. just not from within..
tears did come down my face in the middle of the night…
and finally when i squared up myself.. i know whatever i do now.. he will be watching over me..
May
we the 31st batch completed our BMT in sembawang and had a week break
there was this day.. my brother told me that i won 3 CCA distinction awards..
i cried straight away… i think its was straight forward for the reason why..
June
we were more like a naval diver already..
having introduced to the piece of shit treatments that we could give us..
wet and sandy was a norm..
boat pt was memorably painful..
but all was towards a goal.. to go through our Hell Week
July
its july…
we know its coming..
i remembered the leaders-to-be telling us..
our only motivation comes from the person standing beside you..
that was really the case…
and deep down again… whenever the boat was on my head.. i know my Father is watching ..
watching how tough i am..
we did the Hakka led by Lai…
and went around hooyahing people.. hugging our own batch boys to congratulate each other..
WE ARE HELLWEEKERS!
August
went back to SRJC for I will run with Jared and Weeta
did the college a little favour.. 17km.. right after the hellweek..
woohooo.. body aches is unavoidable hahah
dive phase started not long..
and i had my second lost during NS life..
my grandma passed away.. she was 87 of age..
the one who brough me up and cook delicious Haka delights for us 10+ years back..
the sad thing is that i needed to be the age of 20 to appreciate her hardwork then..
September
32nd batch came in..
31st batch became the senoirs..
and i recalled exactly… 090909 my birthday..
we got a real big hammering sessions..
then there was the separation..
separation of my best best buddies in NDU..
Tiong and Shern went off to OCS…
and Lai went SSDC.. i stayed in CDC..
i really felt lonely from time to time not having the mutual understanding guys
buddies who can feel me without asking me a single thing..
October
dive dive dive…
but we knew graduation is near..
November
all of us brought our love ones into the camp..
land and underwater display..
we showed them the hellweek video.. and some of the other things we do here..
all for a show.. but its was worth it..
111109 was the last official day for me Lai and Alex..

i missed SOF- Supper on Friday

but well.. we will see from now on..
went for our photoshoot at Marina Barrage

days are short.. time passes by fast..
Christmas passed and New Year coming..
3rd Jan.. we are off to Australia..
i’ll do it my best.. RSAF Pilot..
its mine.. its mine………
if not then too bad..
i see myself living in my dreams few years later.. make it happen!

YES finally a new year..
2008 was the mark of the end of schooling life..

The year that earth moved slower
going for countdown?..

well well..
lets recall and review the year 2008
January
the year started quickly..
JC2 now.. no more playing and fooling around..
got a change of teachers
for General Paper.. Mrs Josephine Wong is replaced by Ms Joanne Raj..
for Economics.. Mrs Christina Tan to Mrs Sim Lay Peng
for Maths.. Mr Tan Soi Cheng to Mr Chong
For Chemistry.. Mrs Jess Wong to Mr Kenneth Yang
for Physics.. Mr Lim Teck Seng to Ms Low
for PE.. Mr Alan Tan to Mr Teng
yes it is.. the whole change in the teacher squad for 2007's 1S20, 2008's 2S17
Lennon and Huay Xhin replaced Baron and Guan Jie..
miss the two Chong Hua jokers lots man..
and distinctively Lennon was loner and kept to himself for a few weeks..
sat at one corner and stone his way through the lessons..
until when Jun Liang and i brought him into the guys group..
celebrated Jun Liang's 18th at his place..
saw his Mother for the first time.. wow,, beautiful man..
and young too haha..
had a great time with the others playing xbox and taboo..
orientation for the first intake started on the second next..
the whole duration for the orientation..
only 10 was left in class..
the rest are OGLs and Games-ic
i remembered one very lesson with Mrs Sim..
8 of us stand at the back of the class..
and left with 2 having tutorial with her.. haha..
forget the reason for that already..
study group was formed..
Audrey Sikai Xiongwei Felicia...
Audrey had a secret then.. leading for the Yangshuo Trip..
and now.. she has found her love and im so very glad..
harsh and cruel studying stress builds up quickly..
i remember i found it hard to even breath properly..
and issues started to shoot up suddenly every now and then..
CCA fair for the first intake was a sucky one..
people just come as they like..
had a few shots and few and thats it..
the second time was better.. we got to choose properly with Mr Ng and Ms Lin's technique
remembered how harsh we are on this 560 guy.. haha
Shooting training was getting more intense..
NTU NUSIS and Nationals coming our way..
i believe all my shooters will always remembered how hard they train
and also felt the bitterness when results doesnt show up with their increase in hardwork
fortnights after fortnights... we all grew as a team..
achieved my first achievement of the year..
completed my 100km challenge..
Mr Teng urged me to go for 200km and i did..
i never thought i could finish 200km in this year..
well well.. its something to keep me moltivated..
February
Chinese New Year given all of us a break from school..
especially this year..
the break was really well enjoyed..
visited my former secondary school and caught up with my teachers..
hope they are still doing well now
felt like a De Javu...
the same quarter of the year..
JC1.. and JC2.. the threat to destroying my own relationship...
its my own fault
come to think about it..
these 2 experience made me realise that i actually love my girlfriend more than i imagine..
i still kept the letter that my girlfriend sent me..
Jun Liang was there for me.. cried my heart out in the toilet with him..
returning back to class.. i think Mr Chong knew somehow that i have problems and gave that look to me..
greatly appreciated
NTU Invitational Shoot..
the team all did pretty well..
most of them got their personal best..
i could remember Wanyin was on a super train to perfection..
and most of them had their first external shoot unlike Timo and i..
during the celebration at Swesens after the NTU shoot..

everyone was stunned
went to the Singapore Airshow with Jun Liang..
had a good time wowing on the Black Knights
March
Shooting Club produced a top Arts student in SRJC for the A levels..
congrates to Jessica as took her wonderful results..
remembered i watched the show "Leap Years"
had fond memories with the movie
had 5A chalet..
good catch up with former classmates
Common Test of the year..
failed almost everything...
many of us was getting the heat on our shoulders as results doesnt reflect on our papers..
Zhuo Ying came to and cried and thats when she started to talk a whole lot more to me..
i exited the live of a loner and came off to be an independent person..
thanks to my gf again..
new J1s officially joined Shooting..
and the Shooting camp started quite soon..
Shuqi overall incharge the camp and i assisted her in everyway i can..
theres some ups and downs during the camp and i think all of us grew together..
dont know the J1s.. but i know the J2's bond is a hard one to break
April
parents night was a shocking one..
my Mother was told that im top 30 in the cohort when there were Us and Ss..
Mr Yang briefed us on the plan of the year.. and what to expect as we faces the ultimate goal..
that really was a helpful one i thought
the release of A level Chinese and PW results..
both Bs for me..
i thought i would fair better in PW.. but well B is Satisfaction for me.. as look from right now
SR Olypmics..
never really enjoy it ..
just looking around and cheering for Aquila..
Ryan Tan the muscle man impressed everyone with 9 Golds..
way to go man
Shooting New Blood was chosen..
as of now..
though there are some regrets about the selections..
there is still a saving grace as long as Brenda remain as Captain..
my Brother got a new girlfriend..
that proves the power of internet
went "fang shen" for the first time with my family..
saying byebye to crabs at pasir ris park is quite joyful feeling to enjoy
Principle's Rally..
he made us to write a letter to ourselves..
i really wrote a letter to myself..
as i predict how things may turn out to be in later in the year

spent a good $500 in town
then Wala wala at night with Buddies..
and lastly some games in settlers..
i recalled Sherman was a bit dizzy and pressed a wrong button on the ATM..
$1000 cash came out.. and the group laughed like shit
Mid Year Exam..
Chemistry paper... the most crazy paper ever!
it is the paper that made people crazy .. thats the meaning!
the few of the shooting people gathered after the Chemisty paper 2..
we partied like there was no tomorrow straight after the paper
laughed until face cramped man!

Shooting range got some upgrading thanks to Henry's "shooting" at the Principle
10 new target rollers for the future batch of shooters

Lennon was shot quite a number of times
reason being.. they cant find his vein..

there were 2 air pistol girls team for SR..
quite a privilege for the J1s to join this competition in SR
had our fun and learn more and more..

fortnights after fortnights... we all grew as a team..
achieved my first achievement of the year..
completed my 100km challenge..
Mr Teng urged me to go for 200km and i did..
i never thought i could finish 200km in this year..
well well.. its something to keep me moltivated..
February
Chinese New Year given all of us a break from school..
especially this year..
the break was really well enjoyed..
visited my former secondary school and caught up with my teachers..
hope they are still doing well now
felt like a De Javu...
the same quarter of the year..
JC1.. and JC2.. the threat to destroying my own relationship...
its my own fault
come to think about it..
these 2 experience made me realise that i actually love my girlfriend more than i imagine..
i still kept the letter that my girlfriend sent me..
Jun Liang was there for me.. cried my heart out in the toilet with him..
returning back to class.. i think Mr Chong knew somehow that i have problems and gave that look to me..
greatly appreciated
NTU Invitational Shoot..
the team all did pretty well..
most of them got their personal best..
i could remember Wanyin was on a super train to perfection..
and most of them had their first external shoot unlike Timo and i..
during the celebration at Swesens after the NTU shoot..

Shooting Club produced a top Arts student in SRJC for the A levels..

Common Test of the year..
failed almost everything...
many of us was getting the heat on our shoulders as results doesnt reflect on our papers..
Zhuo Ying came to and cried and thats when she started to talk a whole lot more to me..
i exited the live of a loner and came off to be an independent person..
thanks to my gf again..
new J1s officially joined Shooting..
and the Shooting camp started quite soon..
Shuqi overall incharge the camp and i assisted her in everyway i can..
theres some ups and downs during the camp and i think all of us grew together..
dont know the J1s.. but i know the J2's bond is a hard one to break

parents night was a shocking one..
my Mother was told that im top 30 in the cohort when there were Us and Ss..
Mr Yang briefed us on the plan of the year.. and what to expect as we faces the ultimate goal..
that really was a helpful one i thought
the release of A level Chinese and PW results..
both Bs for me..
i thought i would fair better in PW.. but well B is Satisfaction for me.. as look from right now
SR Olypmics..
never really enjoy it ..
just looking around and cheering for Aquila..
Ryan Tan the muscle man impressed everyone with 9 Golds..

Shooting New Blood was chosen..
as of now..
though there are some regrets about the selections..
there is still a saving grace as long as Brenda remain as Captain..
my Brother got a new girlfriend..
